Every preset is labeled as either a practical recommendation or an official technical reference.
How labels work
Recommended presets are useful export canvases, not universal requirements. A service may accept a range of dimensions or crop differently by device. Official references link to a first-party source that supports the technical size shown.
Review process
- Prefer a platform, agency or standards-owner source.
- Record the review date on the preset page.
- Remove a page when an exact crop would be misleading or the source no longer supports it.
- Keep product behavior separate from claims: automated tests prove output dimensions, while source review checks the underlying recommendation.
Government photos
Pixel dimensions and file size are only part of an acceptable government photo. Always open the linked official instructions and follow all composition, recency and form-specific rules.
